Who can I contact with additional questions about the conference?
For questions prior to the conference on registration, membership, or bookstore orders, contact Obesity Medicine Association via online chat or send an email to info@obesitymedicine.org. To access OMA’s online customer service chat box, visit the OMA website and click on the green ‘Chat with Us’ button in the bottom right corner of the website home page. A customer service representative will be able to assist you.
For questions on claiming credit, accessing the Obesity Medicine Academy, or other issues related to the conference education, please contact cme@obesitymedicine.org.

When is registration open and how do I get my badge?
You will receive an email with your badge printing instructions a few days prior to your arrival. To print your badge and pick up your conference materials, visit us at the 3rd Floor Foyer at the Hyatt Regency Denver, 650 15th St, Denver, CO 80202. Registration will be open the following times during the conference:
- Wednesday, April 24 | 10:00 am - 5:45 pm
- Thursday, April 25 | 7:00 am - 5:45 pm
- Friday, April 26 | 7:00 am - 5:45 pm
- Saturday, April 27 | 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
- Sunday, April 28 | 6:30 am - 12: 30 pm
Please consider checking at registration as early as possible to avoid lines prior to the start of sessions. Name badges are required to access the conference events.
How do I download the mobile app?
The conference mobile app can be downloaded leading up to conference.
- Download the eventScribe app. Click here to access the mobile app. If you have attended a previous OMA conference, it may be helpful to delete the app and re-install for this event.
- Open the eventScribe app. Search for Obesity Medicine 2024 or find it in upcoming events.
- Enter your email and Registrant ID/Access Key sent to you in your confirmation email to login and set up your profile.
You can customize and build your agenda in advance of your arrival. You will also need the mobile app in order to participate in polling and Q&A during the sessions. Visit the Connection Center if you need assistance with the mobile app. Features will continue to be added the mobile app as we get closer to the start of the conference.
Can I update my profile on the mobile app?
Your name, company and credentials associated with your OMA account will be used to create your profile on the mobile app. We recommend that you access your profile upon logging into the app to set your preferences and add a profile picture. If you need help updating your profile, please stop by the Connection Center on the 3rd floor or email info@obesitymedicine.org.
To update your profile: Select the hamburger menu (3 lines) or the setting link and then look for the “Edit My Info” button. From here you can add a headshot, update your contact information and adjust your privacy settings. The privacy settings can be found when you select “NEXT” in the top right corner. To save your changes, please make sure to click “FINISH” in the top right corner. Note that this only updates your profile in the mobile app. If you need to permanently update your profile, please email info@obesitymedicine.org.
Where do I pick up the syllabus I ordered?
Printed syllabus orders may be picked up at the Registration Desk on the 3rd Floor Foyer. Printed syllabuses were available as an optional purchase option within your conference registration for the Fundamentals of Obesity Treatment and Review Course for the ABOM Exam.
Onsite syllabus purchases can be made at the bookstore, but limited supplies will be available and sold on a first come first serve basis.
Is there a conference bookstore?
Yes! Visit the conference bookstore in the 3rd Floor Foyer and enjoy 10% off your purchase during the conference. Find books and resources to help you prepare for the obesity medicine certification exam and learn new treatment techniques to implement in your practice!
What are the Innovation Hall hours?
Exhibitors will be available to chat and showcase their newest products and technologies with attendees during the following dates and times:

How do I learn more about the Exhibitors & Sponsors?
Exhibitors may be searched by company name or by booth number on the mobile app or on the conference website. Click on the exhibitor listing you’d like to visit to view their booth location and learn more about the exhibiting company.
You may choose to share your information during the conference with an exhibitor by having your name badge scanned at their booth via lead retrieval. The information included in lead retrieval is pulled includes your name, company name, address, phone and email address.
Is there a Trail Map in the exhibit hall?
Yes! The new name for this activity is the
Discovery Dash. You will see an icon in the mobile app that will help guide you through the rules and how to play. You will visit the Innovation Hall and scan QR codes from all the participating Discovery Dash Sponsors. There may be a couple of additional QR codes to look for throughout the conference area as well. If you scan all possible QR codes and get the correct answer for all the questions, you will be eligible to win a $1,000 gift card. We will draw for the winner at 3:20 pm in the Innovation Hall. You must be a conference attendee to enter and must be present to win.
Do I need to attend live to earn credit?
Yes, live attendance is required to claim CME/CE credit at the Obesity Medicine Conference, Culinary Medicine in Practice Workshop, Fundamentals of Obesity Treatment Course and Review Course for the ABOM Exam. You will only be able to claim credit for the courses for which you have registered.
Can I access recorded lectures after the conference?
Yes, recordings for the Review Course for the ABOM Exam and Obesity Medicine 2024 Conference sessions can be pre-ordered on-site at the bookstore.
Recordings for the Culinary Medicine in Practice Workshop and the Fundamentals of Obesity Treatment Course are not available.
You will be given access to any purchased recordings on the Obesity Medicine Academy four to six weeks after the conference.
What types of credits are available?

Will these credits count toward my CME requirements for the 2024 ABOM Exam?
For the 2024 test cycle, any online or in-person AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ offered by OMA will qualify for GROUP ONE credit. Visit http://abom.org for more information.
How do I claim credit for the conference?
After each course of the conference ends, you will be able to claim your credit from within the conference app or through the conference app webpage. Please follow the instructions below to claim your credit when it becomes available.
From the conference mobile app homepage:
- Click on the “Claim Credit” button from the home screen. This will bring you to the overall task list for the credit claiming processes.
- Click on the first task “Select Sessions Attended and Complete Quiz Questions.” Select the day, time and name of session you wish to claim credit for and complete quiz for. Click “Start Quiz.” Complete the quiz to the best of your ability. When the correct quiz answer is selected, click “Complete” and then “Submit” button. (You will only have access to take quizzes associated with your registration.)
- Repeat this process for each session that you wish to claim credit for.
- Click on the last task “Complete Overall Conference Evaluation.” Complete the evaluation to the best of your ability, then press the “Submit” button.
- Once all session quizzes and the Overall Conference Evaluation have been completed, click into the fourth and final task “Download/Print Certificate of Completion.” This will give you a summary of how many CE credits have been earned, as well as for what sessions. There are separate certificates for the Culinary Practice in Medicine Workshop, Fundamentals of Obesity Medicine, Review Course for the ABOM Exam, and the Conference.
*Note that we request that you complete each individual session evaluation, however these are not required in order to claim credit.

Credit claiming will open at the conclusion of each course.
How do I evaluate speakers in each session?
Speaker session surveys are available to view and complete in the mobile app under each session description. Click ‘Eval’ to complete and submit a speaker evaluation.
Where can I access the session slides?
Presentation slides can be found in the mobile app under each individual session once the conference begins. Click the ‘Slides’ in each session to access and download the PDFs of the slides or other handouts. You can also take notes on the slides from within the mobile app. You will only have access to the session materials that correlate with your registration. You can also access the slides in your account on the OMA Academy.
How do I participate in live Q&A and Polling during the sessions?
Questions and polling will be submitted through the conference mobile app. To submit your questions, go to the session you are viewing, click on 'ARS' button and click 'Ask Question' to type in your question and submit. To participate in live polling, go to the ‘ARS’ button within the session details and the live poll should appear first.
